Movement glossary Use clearer direction words for learners who do not process terms like clockwise easily. Suggested substitutes: around to the right , curve around , go around and back , and back to the stem .
Instead of “clockwise,” say “around to the right.” Instead of “counterclockwise,” say “around to the left.” Instead of “midpoint,” say “middle line” or “middle.” Instead of “descend,” say “go down.”
